(Mock) Friday Night Smackdown - Week 2

The tournaments continue as the Week 1 of the Smackdown tournaments are already on the way and the first match of the night will be Round 1 of the Cruiserweight Title.

Round One of the Cruiserweight Championship: Evan Bourne Vs. Heath Slater

Out comes Evan Bourne and next comes Heath Slater to a chant of ‘Slater Sucks’. The bell rings and with the match under way, they each get into a tie-up with both men trying to score a quick pin before the other. The action in moving so fast pace, even the crowd is going wild. Slater slows it down with a cheap elbow shot to Bourne. He then throws him to the corner. He goes for a high flying body splash. Bourne ducks, but Slater catches himself before getting hit as well. As he turns around, he was greeted with a hurracarrana from Bourne, follow by a small standing version of Air Bourne. He goes for the pin, but Slater kicks out at 2. Slater backs up to the corner and Bourne runs towards him and jumps on top of him to go for the 10 punch count. Before 10, Slater grabs Bourne for a running powerbomb. Instead of the pin, Slater goes to the top of the ropes and tries to go for a flying legdrop. He misses and Bourne goes up for an Air-Bourne, connects and pins. 1…2…3…

Winner: Evan Bourne

The winner is…Evan Bourne, so he would advance to the finals. Edge is in the back and announces that his talk show, The Cutting Edge, will be back next week and tells the fans that he guarantees a victory against Rey Mysterio later tonight.

Round One of the Smakdown Tag Titles: MVP & M.Henry vs. E.Jackson & V.Kozlov

But for now, the first round of the Smackdown Tag Team division is on the way as Mark Henry and MVP make their way into the ring with their opponents, Vladamir Kozlov and Ezekiel Jackson.

From this moment on, I will just be telling you who won the match-up and how they won. But I will explain more about the storylines.

Mark Henry and MVP defeats Kozlov and Jackson with Henry giving Kozlov the World’s Strongest Slam. After the match, Kozlov and Jackson then began to argue.

In the back, as Sheamus was heading to the ring for his first round match, The Big Show gets in his way and says how he wishes he could fight him in the next round so he could knock his head out. A scared Sheamus approaches the ring, waiting for his opponent who happens to be Christian.

This is a first round match for the World Heavyweight which is also a ‘Beat the Clock’ rule match. The winner of the match is Sheamus with the Cletic Cross at 6:27.

After the break, the first round of the U.S. title begins as Kofi Kingston goes one on one with Chavo Gurrero. Kofi wins the match with the Trouble in Paradise, so he advances to the second round.

After the break, The Undertaker comes out to a big pop and talks to the crowd about how he will win the World Heavyweight title and to those who are against him, shall fall. As he leaves the ring, Kane walks right past him to begin his match. They then gave each other a stare down.

As ‘Taker leaves, out comes the Big Show and Round 1 of the World Heavyweight title tournament. Winner with a chokeslam, The Big Show in 6:55.

Backstage, The Straight Edge Society are seen celebrating that they are still together and that they guarantee victory in the Tag Team and the Diva’s division starting next week.

Speaking of Divas, Jillian is in the ring right now and does her singing, she was interrupted by her opponent, Eve. Five minutes later, the winner of the match was Eve with a moderation of a powerslam.

Ten minutes later and the final match begins between Edge and Rey Mysterio. At the end of the match, Rey attempted for the 619 but was caught with a Spear from Edge, to get the 3 count and advanced to the next round in 6:00.

Then the lights went out. When they came back on, ‘Taker was on the screen. He said that since Edge had won the fastest time in the ‘Beat the Clock’, his reward was that he was going to take on The Undertaker next week in the second round. The lights went back off and when they came back on, ‘Taker was right in the ring and quickly went for the chokeslam Edge dodged it and crawled out the ring, ending the show with the both of them staring at each other.
