(Mock) Monday Night Raw - Week 1

Hello, welcome to a special 3 hour Raw and welcome to a brand new era in wrestling. Whatever happened at the ‘Summerslam’ PPV is now officially been erased for each and every title is now vacated. Speaking of titles, Mr. McMahon is now standing in front of the entrance to give the crowd a huge announcement. He says that not only are each titles vacant, but he is going to bring back the European, Cruiserweight, and he is dividing the Tag Team titles so each brand will have its own tag title. He is going to change the face of this company and do something that has not been done before. As of tonight, there is no Raw nor Smackdown roster for there will be a Draft where every superstar is included. Even the remaining NXT rookies are included as well.

So without further a due, he presents to the crowd the general manager of Smackdown, Theodore R. Long. He comes out to a standing ovation from the crowd. Mr. McMahon also announces that there will be no more celebrity guest on Raw and that the new general manager of Raw will be none other than….Vicki Guerrero. Within every ‘Excuse Me!’ that comes out of her mouth, the louder the boos got. So now Mr. McMahon introduces the Draft Bowl which was brought out by The Bella Twin. He then tells the crowd that each Raw and Smackdown superstar and diva are in that bowl and that for the beginning of the show, each brand will select 3 Draft pick turns right off the back. So his flips the coin to see who goes first and the winner goes to………Vicki Guerrero and Raw. As she gives him a hug, he pushes her away and tells her to make her first three picks.

As the twins finished mixing up the names, Vicki goes to pick her first 3 names. McMahon picks up each and announces the names and they are…..Chris Jericho……John Morrison and…..Ted DeBiase. Each superstar comes out one by one to their respective theme song and stands next Vicki while Teddy Long goes into the bowl and picks out his three. McMahon picks up the paper and announces that they are……Edge, Santino Marella and Evan Bourne. Vicki laughs at the picks that were made as they were coming out as well. Teddy tells Vicki that its only the beginning and that it’s only going to get better. So Vicki makes an announcement herself by making the first Raw match of the new era to show the crowd how Raw is exactly what it is, superior to Smackdown. It’s going to be Chris Jericho vs. John Morrison and the match begins now and she wants Teddy and McMahon to stay and watch the match.

John Morrison Vs. Chris Jericho

As Morrison begins to enter the ring, Jericho decides to attack him from the back and throws him into the ring. The punches goes back and forth until Morrison gets the upper hand and whips Jericho over to the corner only to run into an elbow. Jericho tries to go for his finishing move ‘The Code Breaker’ early, but is reversed and Morrison cradle pins for only a 2 count. They both go back and forth with quick roll up pins until they back off each other. The crowd is really into the match as each opponent tries to one up each other with moves. Jericho then pokes Morrison in the eyes and connects with a back breaker. After a couple of elbow drops, he then poses to the crowd, but only receives boos. He then goes for his patent moonsault off the ropes only to get kneed in the gut by Morrison. He recovers and takes it to Jericho with an inziguri kick to the back of the head. Morrison gets pumped up by the fans and tries to go for his finishing move ‘Starship Pain’ only to run into a clothsline. Both men are down as the crowd stops their feet for either wrestler to get up. Jericho is the first one as he tries to go for 'The Code Breaker’ only for Morrison to reverse it again and turn it into one of Jericho’s move, ‘The Walls of Jericho’. As Jericho was about to tap out to his own move, he finally reaches the ropes, causing Morrison to have to break the hold. Morrison quickly capitalizes Jericho’s weakness as he was on his knees by giving him a side kick to the head, knocking Jericho out. Morrison runs to the corner to give him the ‘Starship Pain’. He goes for the pin. 1…2…3! The winner, John Morrison!

The crowd cheers for Morrison as he leaves the ring. Even Vicki cheers for Morrison as he leaves for the back. Now back to the Draft Bowl as it’s now Raw’s turn. Vicki picks out 4 from the bowl and reveals them to McMahon. He calls them out….Cody Rhodes, John Cena, Tyson Kidd and Dolph Ziggler. As they head out, you’ll see Tyson Kidd giving David Hart Smith a hug as they might be separated. John Cena comes out and gives a handshake to Teddy Long, but then gives a stare down to Vicki which she does the same. Teddy now picks his 4 and they are…C.M. Punk, The Undertaker, Rey Mysterio and Christian. As Punk, Mysterio and Christian comes out, the lights in the arena goes out. When they come back on, The Undertaker is in the middle of the ring to the chanting of his name. All he did was look at all the superstars at the top of the entrance, gave a ‘Rest in Piece’ signature and then the lights went back out. When it came back on, he was gone. Vicki shakes her head at the picks Teddy had just received for he was happy. So happy that he announced that the next match will be a Smackdown match between Rey Mysterio and Evan Bourne.

Rey Mysterio Vs. Evan Bourne

As they are both in the ring ready for the match at hand, they shake hands in respect for each other. The bell rings and they waste no time going at it. Rey gets the upper hand by throwing him to the ropes. Then he runs to the ropes as well. They would both try to avoid one another by jumping over, flying over each other as they bounce against the ropes until Bourne lays on his back and puts his feet up to flip Rey. Rey lands on his feet as they stop to hear the crowd go crazy. Bourne then runs after Rey (who was resting against the ropes) only for Rey to pull down the top rope, causing to for Bourne to fly out of the ring. As he was struggling to get up, Rey decided to run against the ropes and go for a Suicide Dive. He connects and they both crash to the mat outside. It looks like Rey took more of it than Bourne as Bourne gets up first and jumps back into the ring. Seeing the opportunity, he climbs to the top ropes and waits for Rey to get up. Once up, he goes for a moonsault from the top, out of the ring and on to the Rey. The crowd chants ‘This Is Awsome’! The ref goes to check on both of them as they are ok. Once again, Bourne is the first to get up. He climbs into the ring and tries to do a suicide of his own but is countered by Rey with a drop kick. The crowd is giving them a standing ovation. Both men finally get and back into the ring. Rey is holding his left knee and gets on his knees while Bourne makes this perfect for him to run to the ropes and deliver a sliding kick to Rey, knocking him down. Bourne is about to take advantage and go for his finishing move ‘Air-Bourne’. He flies in the air, only to miss Rey as he moves over. Rey now drop kicks Bourne’s back as he falls to the middle ropes. Rey goes for the 619 and connects. He immediately goes for the ‘West Coast Pop’ finisher and the pin. 1….2….3….Rey Mysterio wins.

After the match, they both gave each other a hug as a sign of respect for each other while leaving the arena together. Minutes after the opponents left all of the sudden Randy Orton’s theme music begins to play and out comes “The Viper” and the largest cheer tonight. He gets in the ring and gets on the mic. Telling the crowd the he doesn’t know which show he will be on but for all superstars to take note. Whether it’s Raw or Smackdown, giving them warning that “The Viper” could strike at anytime. Then he leaves to the back not before giving Vicki and Teddy a cold stare. Vicki then declares a Raw versus Smackdown match and Teddy agrees.

Edge Vs. Ted Debiase

Edge music then comes on as he enters the ring for Smackdown. Ted Dibiase then comes out to his music and The Million Dollar Belt with the mic in his hand. He tells the crowd how he’s going to take Raw by storm whether they like it or not. The boos rain down hard as he enters the ring. The second he turns around, he gets speared by Edge. The bells rings as Edge pins DiBiase. 1….2….3. The winner is Edge.

As he leaves the ring, DiBiase is fumed at how he lost and vows that he will get the last laugh very soon. Teddy is very happy because Smackdown is 1-0 against Raw. Now it’s time for the Diva’s Bowl pick as Teddy makes the first 4 picks for Smackdown and they are…Michelle McCool, Jillian, Rosa Mendes and Maryse. Vicki then makes her picks and they are…Kelly Kelly, Beth Phoenix, Alicia Fox and Brie Bella. Before the General Managers could make a match, Michelle had got into Beth’s face. Michelle then kicks her in the stomach, making Beth tumble down the ramp toward to ring. She then throws Beth into the ring and an impromptu match begins.

Michelle McCool Vs. Beth Phoenix

Michelle begins to slap her around, making Beth even more mad. She tried to kick her again, but Beth grabbed her leg at the last second and gave her a nice belly to belly suplex. Beth then goes to the top rope to do a body splash but then out of no where Maryse comes and knocks Beth down. The other Divas are out of the ring brawling by now. Michelle didn’t know what was going on but took advantage of the situation by giving Beth her ‘Wings of Love’ finisher. She goes for the cover. 1…2…and Beth kicks out. Michelle attempts the ‘Wings of Love’ again but is reversed and Beth goes for her finisher ‘The Glam Slam’. Beth goes for the pin. 1….2….3 Winner, Beth Phoenix.

The newly acquired Raw Divas came in to celebrate as well. Raw and Smackdown is now tied at 1-1 Next up yet another 4 Draft picks and since Raw won that match, it’s Vicki’s turn. She goes to pull out the following names: Carlito, Goldust, Zach Ryder and from NXT…David Otunga. They all come out one by one to greet the fans but Carlito goes to eat an apple, looks at Vicki, but decides to spit the apple in Teddy’s face, much to McMahon’s laughter. Now it’s Teddy’s turn at the Bowl and his pick are….Kofi Kingston, Shad Gaspard, JTG and from NXT…Heath Slater. JTG goes to give Shad a handshake but all Shad did was walk away to the back.

In the back we see Cody Rhodes getting ready for a match when DiBiase comes in and wishes Rhodes good luck in his match tonight. Rhodes then gets in his face and tells him that he doesn’t need any luck and to get out of way.

Christian Vs. Cody Rhodes

Now it’s time for another Raw vs. Smackdown match between Christian and Cody Rhodes. But before the contest could begin, out came Randy Orton who quickly gives Rhodes an RKO. Christian goes to try and shake Orton’s hand but unleashes another RKO, this time to Christian leaving both of them laid out in the ring. The crowd gets excited as Orton looks on to everyone and then to both General Managers.

In the back, Josh Matthews is in the with an excited Santino. He says that he is so excited about being the number 2 pick that he’s going to make his own shirt for Smackdown for this coming Friday. He then tries to get an interview from Randy Orton but all Orton does is just look at him and walk away.

Back from commercial, Raw and Smackdown makes their final 4 picks of the night with Teddy giving Vicki the first to go being that he is such a gentleman. With that said, Raw’s final 4 picks of the night are….The Miz, Trent Barreta, Crayton Croft and William Regal. Teddy then takes his picks and they are…Chavo Guerrero, Yoshi Tatsu, Tyler Reks and MVP. MVP comes out as he and Teddy does a ‘Ballin’’ pose together. Now for the main event. It’s the last Raw vs. Smackdown match of the night. John Cena comes out to the ring for Raw, not knowing who his opponent will be. Then the lights go out and the Undertaker’s music comes on. So it will be John Cena Vs. The Undertaker. Everyone is excited to be a part of a spectacular main event.

John Cena Vs. The Undertaker

As the match starts, they both lock up until the Undertaker gets the upper hand by twisting Cena’s arm. He backs ‘Taker up to the corner and gives him a couple of knees to the stomach and throws him across to the other turnbuckle. Cena goes to give him a running clothesline but misses. ‘Taker picks him up and gives him the Snakeyes in the turnbuckle, then twists his arm again and goes for the ‘Old School’ off the top ropes. He then grabs Cena for a side suplex. Pins him and only gets a two count. So he throws Cena out of the ring and tries to throw him to the steel steps only to be reversed. Now ‘Taker is on the floor while Cena is recovering. Cena gets up and throws ‘Taker back into the ring. Cena goes to the top ropes to give ‘Taker a leg drop as he is struggling to get up. ‘Taker quickly sees it and turns it to a modified version of ‘The Last Ride’. Both men are laid out as the crowd goes crazy. As they get up, punches are exchanged until ‘Taker gets the upper hand and throws Cena against the ropes. He misses a clothesline and Cena quickly his him a Flying Football Tackle. Cena then looks and signals for the ‘You Can’t See Me’. When he finished, Cena looks to the crowd to hype them up, but doesn’t see that ‘Taker had quickly got up from that last move. He turns around to run into a ‘Taker’s Choke Slam. He pins him again, only to get another 2 count. ‘Taker gets frustrated and picks him up again, but Cena quickly throws him to the ground and set up the STF submission in the middle of the ring. ‘Taker is trying to make it to the ropes as Cena is applying more pressure. After a minute or two, ‘Taker finally reaches the ropes. So Cena had to break the hold. Seeing that he’s weak, Cena picks up ‘Taker and goes for the Attitude Adjustment but ‘Taker reverses it and goes for a 2nd Chokeslam. Cena is out of it as ‘Taker signals the end as he tried to go for the Tombstone. Then the lights went out. When it came back on, ‘Taker was greeted to an RKO courtesy of Randy Orton. The crowd is in shock but stands by Orton all the way as he looks down at both opponents. Up the ramp, McMahon thanks everyone for coming and tells them all to tune in to Smackdown on Friday for the continuation of the Draft. Also, he announced that starting next week on Raw that there will be a tournament on each brand for every single title.
